CrewLink vs AccuLynx, compared on crews, subs and the drive

AccuLynx is roofing contractor software that runs sales, production and finance. CrewLink is a booking, dispatch and contractor network platform that checks the drive before a time is offered. Here is how to tell which problem you have.

AccuLynx is one of the names that comes up first when a roofing contractor looks for software. CrewLink comes up when the same contractor searches for crew scheduling, dispatch or subcontractor help. The two products are built for different parts of a roofing business, and the right pick depends on which part is costing you.

Everything about AccuLynx below comes from its own public website, checked in October 2026, and links to the page it came from. Where its site doesn't describe something, we say so rather than guess.

What AccuLynx is

As of October 2026, the AccuLynx homepage leads with "#1 roofing software for a reason" and describes itself as roofing contractor software. It names sales and CRM, production management, finance, a mobile app, text messaging, a customer portal, payment processing, crew management, custom reporting and supplier integrations.

On scheduling, the homepage says: "Simplify planning using our centralized drag-and-drop calendar system."

Its production management page (as of October 2026) goes further:

  • "Access all of the company's appointments, deliveries, and scheduled labor from a single production calendar."
  • "Schedule crews for jobs in just a few clicks. When you need to make changes, team members are automatically notified so everyone knows what's happening."
  • Its Labor Manager is described as a way to "Organize subcontractors and crews the way you want, giving you better control over labor availability."

AccuLynx does not show prices on its site. Its pricing link leads to a pricing request page (as of October 2026).

What CrewLink is

CrewLink is in early access, built for field service companies running 5 to 50 trucks and the 1099 contractors who work with them.

  • Online booking into drive-feasible open times. Only start times a qualified tech can make are offered, with the drive at that hour computed from the previous job, not the shop.
  • A dispatch board with month, week and day views and a live board with each tech's status and the ETA to their next job.
  • A tech phone app (on my way, arrived, done, photos, parts) with a mid-job check-in that re-flows the rest of the day if a job runs long.
  • Same-day emergencies: finds a qualified tech who can still get there today, or says why no one can.
  • Customer texts, deposits, invoices with pay links, and KPIs.
  • CrewConnect: companies and 1099 contractors send work into each other's open time with agreed pay terms.

CrewLink does not do estimates, roof measurements, material ordering, supplier integrations or a sales pipeline.

Where the real difference sits

A production calendar vs a drive-feasible day

AccuLynx describes a single production calendar for appointments, deliveries and scheduled labor. That is the right center of gravity for a roofing replacement: materials, a crew and an inspection lined up on one job over days or weeks.

CrewLink's center of gravity is the day of a truck that makes several stops. Before a time is offered, it checks whether the person can get there from where they'll be. That matters for estimators, inspectors, repair and leak crews and service techs. It matters much less for an install crew on one roof all day.

When travel is checked

The AccuLynx pages we checked describe calendars, crew scheduling and notifications. They don't describe how drive time between appointments is handled. Ask AccuLynx. CrewLink's approach is set out in travel time scheduling, and the reason it matters for a multi-stop day is in route optimization vs feasible scheduling.

Subcontractors

AccuLynx describes organizing subcontractors and crews in its Labor Manager, inside your own account. CrewConnect keeps each partner's schedule separate: you see only the partner's open times at the job's address, never its other jobs, customers or prices, and work goes into its schedule with pay terms both owners agreed (a percent of the partner's list price or a flat amount, due 0 to 90 days after the job). You can require license, insurance or certification. A payouts ledger records what each side owes; the companies settle directly. More in subcontractor scheduling for solar and roofing.

A worked example: the estimator's afternoon

This is an illustrative example with invented numbers.

After a hail storm, an estimator has three inspections booked for the afternoon. They were booked on separate calls, by slot, into 1:00, 2:30 and 4:00. At those hours, the first is 35 minutes from the morning's last stop, the second is 40 minutes from the first, and the third is 30 minutes from the second. Each inspection takes 60 minutes.

Illustrative: three afternoon inspections, booked by slot vs by drive
Second stop, booked by slot: done at 2:00, 40 min drivearrives 2:40 for 2:30
Third stop: on site 2:40 to 3:40, 30 min drivearrives 4:10 for 4:00
Booked by drive: 1:00, 2:45, 4:15on time at every stop

Two late arrivals came from three slots that each looked fine on a calendar. Checking the drive at booking would have offered 2:45 and 4:15 instead, the same afternoon with no late arrival. That is the whole difference in one picture. The roofing scheduling page has more on estimator days after storms.

Who should pick AccuLynx

Pick AccuLynx if you are a roofing contractor and want sales, production, supplier integrations and finance in one roofing-specific system. If your days are mostly crews on single roofs and the hard part is moving jobs from contract to completion, that is what AccuLynx describes building.

Who should look at CrewLink

Look at CrewLink if the cost is in the multi-stop day or the subcontractor handoff: estimators and inspectors late to the afternoon, a repair or service division that crosses town twice, or sub crews coordinated by text. CrewLink doesn't list an integration with AccuLynx; using both would mean two separate systems, with AccuLynx for production and CrewLink for the service days.

What to take away

  • AccuLynx is roofing contractor software for sales, production and finance, built around a single production calendar.
  • CrewLink checks the drive before a time is offered and runs the multi-stop day, plus a contractor network.
  • For install-heavy roofing with supplier integrations and finance in one system, AccuLynx is the better fit.
  • For estimator, inspection, repair and service days, and for sending work to partner crews, look at CrewLink.

Common questions

Is CrewLink an AccuLynx alternative?

For crew scheduling, dispatch and subcontractor handoffs, it can be. It is not a replacement for the sales, production, finance and supplier features AccuLynx describes. Most install-heavy roofing contractors who want one roofing system should look at AccuLynx.

Does AccuLynx schedule crews and subcontractors?

Yes, according to its production management page as of October 2026, which describes scheduling crews from a production calendar and a Labor Manager to organize subcontractors and crews.

Does AccuLynx account for drive time?

The AccuLynx pages we checked in October 2026 don't say how drive time is handled. Ask AccuLynx directly.

Which is better for roofing estimators?

Estimators doing several inspections a day across a wide area benefit most from times that are checked against the drive before they're offered. Whichever tool you use, make sure it answers that question.

See your own day on it

CrewLink offers only the times a crew can actually reach, from where the truck will be. Plug in your trucks, services and city and see how your week would run, then walk through it with your own territory. CrewLink is in early access.
