JobNimbus comes up whenever a roofing or solar company looks for software. CrewLink comes up when the same company searches for scheduling, dispatch or subcontractor help. This page sets out what each product says it does, where they actually differ, and when JobNimbus is the better choice.
Everything about JobNimbus here comes from its own public website, checked in October 2026. We don't guess at features its site doesn't describe.
What JobNimbus is
As of October 2026, the JobNimbus homepage leads with "Roofing software that keeps every job on track." It lists roofing first among its industries, along with siding, gutters, fencing, construction, painting, restoration, solar, remodeling and others.
The homepage names a broad set of products, including estimates, measurements, invoicing, payments, financing, sales automation, work orders, scheduling, automated texting, analytics, a mobile app and integrations.
Its production page (as of October 2026) describes scheduling directly:
- "Use the calendar to schedule your inspections, installs, crews, subcontractors, and more."
- "Add subs to your account, assign work orders, and schedule them on your calendar."
- "When a job is scheduled, you can automatically notify the homeowner via SMS."
So JobNimbus is a full job management platform for exterior trades: sales automation, estimates, production calendar and payments in one place, with subcontractors handled on its calendar.
JobNimbus does not publish prices. Its pricing page (as of October 2026) lists plan tiers and asks you to request pricing.
What CrewLink is
CrewLink is in early access, built for field service companies running 5 to 50 trucks and the independent contractors who work with them. It is built around one rule: a time is only offered if someone can actually get there.
- Online booking into drive-feasible open times, with the drive at that hour computed from where the truck will be (the previous job), not the shop.
- A dispatch board with month, week and day views and a live board showing each tech's status and ETA to their next job.
- A tech phone app with on my way, arrived and done, photos, parts and a mid-job check-in that re-flows the rest of the day if a job runs long.
- Customer texts, deposits, invoices with pay links, and KPIs.
- CrewConnect, where companies and 1099 contractors send work to each other's open time with pay terms agreed up front.
CrewLink does not do estimates, roof measurements, financing, supplier ordering or a sales pipeline.
Where the real difference sits
Project production vs service-shaped days
JobNimbus organizes work around the job. Its production page says you can "Convert estimates to work orders and assign them to your crews," then schedule them on the calendar. That fits a roofing replacement, where one job runs from first contact to final invoice over weeks.
CrewLink organizes work around the day: which times can each crew actually make, given where it will be. That fits days with several stops: inspections, estimates, repairs, service calls, solar O&M tickets and warranty visits.
Many roofing and solar companies run both shapes. The question is which one is causing you pain.
When travel is checked
The JobNimbus pages we checked describe a calendar for scheduling crews and subs. They don't describe how drive time between appointments is handled, so we won't guess. Ask JobNimbus.
CrewLink checks the drive before a time is offered, from the previous job at that hour. That matters most for a repair or estimate team doing several stops a day across a wide territory. It matters less for an install crew that sits at one site all day. Our page on travel time scheduling explains the mechanism.
How subcontractors are handled
JobNimbus says you can add subs to your account, assign work orders and schedule them on your calendar. That keeps subcontractor jobs inside your own system.
CrewLink's CrewConnect works differently. Each partner keeps its own schedule. When you send a job, you see only that partner's open times at that address, never its other jobs, customers or prices, and the work goes into its schedule with pay terms both owners agreed. You can require license, insurance or certification. What each side owes is kept in a payouts ledger; the companies settle directly. More in subcontractor scheduling for solar and roofing.

Who should pick JobNimbus
Pick JobNimbus if your business is roofing or exterior replacement work and you want sales automation, estimates, measurements, a production calendar and payments in one product. If most of your jobs are one crew on one site for a day or more, and the hard part is moving a deal from lead to install, JobNimbus is built for that and CrewLink is not.
Who should look at CrewLink
Look at CrewLink if the pain is the shape of the day or the subcontractor handoff:
- A repair, inspection or service team that does several stops a day and is often late to the last one.
- An O&M or warranty workload spread across every address you've ever installed on.
- Subcontracted crews you coordinate by text, with pay terms that get argued after the job.
Put a number on the drive first. Take trucks doing multi-stop days (T), avoidable drive per truck per day in hours (D) and loaded hourly cost (R). Yearly cost is about T × D × R × 5 × 48.
That figure is an illustration, not a result. The windshield time cost calculator runs it with your own numbers.
CrewLink doesn't list an integration with JobNimbus. A company using both would keep sales and production in JobNimbus and run its service days in CrewLink, as two separate systems.
What to take away
- JobNimbus is a roofing and exterior-trade CRM and production platform with estimates, measurements, scheduling, texting and payments.
- CrewLink is a booking, dispatch and contractor network platform that checks the drive before a time is offered.
- Install-heavy roofing companies that want one system from lead to payment are better served by JobNimbus.
- Multi-stop repair, inspection and O&M days, and subcontractor handoffs, are where CrewLink fits.
Common questions
Is CrewLink a JobNimbus alternative?
Only for part of what JobNimbus does. CrewLink covers booking, dispatch, customer texts, invoices and a contractor network. It doesn't do estimates, measurements, financing or a sales pipeline, which JobNimbus lists on its homepage as of October 2026.
Does JobNimbus schedule subcontractors?
According to its production page as of October 2026, you can add subs to your account, assign work orders and schedule them on your calendar.
Does JobNimbus consider drive time when scheduling?
The JobNimbus pages we checked in October 2026 don't describe how drive time is handled. Ask JobNimbus directly.
Which is better for a solar company?
It depends on the work. For the sales-to-install pipeline, a CRM and production tool like JobNimbus fits. For service and O&M visits across a wide territory, or for sending installs to partner crews, CrewLink fits. Some solar companies need both.
