Successware and CrewLink both care about getting the right technician to the job on time. They differ in scope and in when travel enters the decision. Successware is integrated business software for home service companies, including accounting. CrewLink is a scheduling product and nothing else.
This page covers what each one says it does, how each uses travel and arrival time, and who should pick which.
What Successware is
As of October 2026, Successware's homepage calls it "Your Fully Integrated Home Services Software Solution" and opens by asking whether you are "Tired of paying for multiple business management software tools that don't talk to each other?" It describes scheduling for new and recurring jobs, dispatching, one-click digital invoicing on a mobile app, and an integrated accounting feature "built directly into the Successware platform." It names industries including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, solar, chimney sweep, septic, indoor air quality and roofing.
Successware's dispatching and scheduling page (as of October 2026) says "Getting the right technician to the right job quickly is critical." It describes flagging technician skillsets so dispatchers are warned when someone is not qualified, capacity planning for daily and weekly capacity, real-time job change notifications, and fleet tracking that uses Google Maps to see where technicians are and decide "who would be the best technician to dispatch to a job based on their estimated arrival time."
So Successware uses estimated arrival time in dispatch. A fair comparison starts there.
Where the real difference sits
Estimated arrival based on where a technician is now answers a dispatch question: who can get to this job soonest? That is the right question for a same-day or emergency call.
CrewLink answers a booking question that comes earlier: before a time is offered to a customer, can a crew get there from where it will be at that hour? For a job booked Monday for Thursday afternoon, the technician's location on Monday says little. What matters is the job that crew will be finishing on Thursday just before.
CrewLink checks feasibility before a slot is offered, with live travel computed from the previous job on that crew's day, not the shop. If the drive does not fit, the slot is not offered. Drive time sits on the board next to the job instead of being hidden inside it. That is travel-feasible scheduling.
Successware's pages, as of October 2026, do not say whether bookings made ahead are filtered by travel from the prior job. We are not going to guess. Ask Successware, and ask us the same question.
What CrewLink does and does not do
CrewLink does a short list of things:
- Builds live travel time into availability, so the only slots offered are ones a crew can reach.
- Checks feasibility before a slot is offered, with travel computed from the previous job.
- Schedules crews around the drive, not the calendar.
- Gives you a dispatch board.
- Is built for companies running 5 to 50 trucks.
CrewLink does not do invoicing, payments, accounting, inventory, marketing campaigns, fleet tracking, technician notifications or a mobile app. A contractor network is on the roadmap and not live.

Who should pick Successware
Pick Successware if you run an HVAC, plumbing or electrical company and you want scheduling, dispatch, invoicing and accounting in one system, without separate accounting software to sync. Its capacity planning and skillset flags are aimed at the dispatch problems these trades deal with every day, and its fleet tracking supports picking the nearest qualified tech for urgent calls.
Who should look at CrewLink
Look at CrewLink if you run 5 to 50 trucks and most of your work is booked ahead: maintenance visits, installs, estimates and repairs scheduled for later in the week. If those days keep falling apart because bookings were placed in open calendar blocks without checking the drive from the job before, a better pick at dispatch time will not fix it. Our guide on how to schedule HVAC technicians walks through the mechanics.
The example is illustrative.
What to take away
- Successware is integrated home service software, including accounting. CrewLink is a scheduling product only.
- Successware's site describes dispatching by estimated arrival time, with skillset flags and capacity planning.
- CrewLink checks feasibility before a slot is offered, from the job the truck will be finishing at that hour.
- If you want dispatch, invoicing and built-in accounting in one platform, Successware is the better fit.
