Synchroteam and CrewLink both schedule and dispatch field technicians. They come at it from different directions. Synchroteam is an all-in-one field service management platform with scheduling inside it. CrewLink is a scheduling and dispatch product, with customer texts, deposits and invoices around it, and a contractor network called CrewConnect.
This page describes Synchroteam only from its own public website, checked in October 2026, and is explicit about what those pages don't say. It also says plainly when Synchroteam is the better fit.
What Synchroteam is
As of October 2026, Synchroteam's homepage leads with "Manage your mobile workforce with our Field Service software" and says customers "in 92 countries dispatch, schedule and report" with its cloud-based platform. The product list on that page includes route optimization, a field service CRM, schedule and dispatch, map and GPS tracking, online booking, job management, custom forms, time tracking, a customer portal, contract management, inventory management, invoicing, payment processing, mobile apps, and connections to "2,000+ Apps." Industries named include HVAC, plumbing, electrical contractors, pest control, pool service, landscaping, security and utilities.
That is a broad suite. If you want inventory, contracts, forms and a customer portal in the same product as the schedule, Synchroteam covers ground CrewLink does not.
How Synchroteam schedules
Synchroteam's plan and dispatch tour (as of October 2026) describes drag-and-drop scheduling in day and other calendar views, a job pool of unassigned work, and a tool called ScheduleAssist that "analyzes your existing schedule and suggests the best time slot for a new job." The page says it "takes various factors into account, like the skills required for the job and travel distance."
So Synchroteam does consider travel when it suggests a slot to a dispatcher. That is a fair and important point.
Its route optimization tour describes selecting technicians for a day and building a schedule from planned jobs, and says "The route optimization module is a paid option, available upon request." Its pricing page says the Standard plan "includes all features except Route Optimization."
How Synchroteam handles online booking
Synchroteam lists online booking as an extension. Its online booking page (as of October 2026) describes emailing a web link to the customer, who can then "select the type of Job they want and select a time slot available on a weekly calendar."
The page we checked does not say whether the slots a customer sees account for drive time from the technician's previous job. We won't guess. If customer self-booking matters to you, ask Synchroteam how a customer-facing slot is chosen, and ask us the same question.
Where the real difference sits
Both products care about travel. The useful question is when the drive is checked, and from where.
- At the dispatcher's desk. A suggestion tool proposes a good slot to a person, who then books it. Synchroteam's ScheduleAssist is described this way, weighing skills and travel distance.
- At the moment any slot is offered. CrewLink only offers a start time if a qualified tech can actually make it, counting their other jobs, calendar, time off and the drive at that hour, computed from where the truck will be (the previous job), not from the shop. That rule applies on the hosted or embedded booking page and through the public API, so a customer booking at 10 p.m. gets the same check as a dispatcher. The mechanism is explained in travel-time scheduling.
The difference shows up late in a busy day. A 3 p.m. slot can be free on the calendar and still unreachable if the 1:30 job is 45 minutes away. A calendar that shows it as open will sell it. A booking check that starts from the previous job won't.
After booking, route optimization reorders the jobs a tech already has. That is useful, and it runs at a different moment. Route optimization vs feasible scheduling explains why the two are complements, not substitutes.
What CrewLink does and does not do
CrewLink is in early access and built for companies running 5 to 50 trucks. It does these things today:
- Booking: drive-feasible start times on a 15-minute grid, nothing sooner than an hour out. A picked time is held for 5 minutes and rechecked, so two people can't book the same tech for the same time. Addresses outside every tech's area become an out-of-area request for the office instead of a fake slot.
- Office: a dispatch board in month, week and day views, plus a live board with each tech's status, current task and ETA to the next job. Same-day emergencies find a qualified tech who can still get there today, or say why no one can.
- Tech app: on my way, arrived, done, notes, photos and parts, with a mid-job check-in that re-flows the rest of the day when a job runs long.
- Customer texts: confirmation, 24-hour reminder, moves and cancellations, on the way with an ETA, invoice sent, and a review link after the job.
- Money: deposits at booking and invoices with a card pay link.
- CrewConnect: companies and 1099 contractors send each other work into open time only, with pay terms both owners agreed.
CrewLink does not do inventory, contract management, custom forms, a customer portal, CRM, vehicle GPS or accounting. If you need those in one product, it isn't CrewLink.

All Synchroteam details as of October 2026, from the pages linked.
The pricing models differ in a way worth thinking about. Per-user pricing grows with headcount. CrewLink's plans grow with job volume: for example, the Shop plan is $349 a month with 800 jobs included, and work received through CrewConnect never counts against you. Which is cheaper depends on your ratio of people to jobs. Check Synchroteam's current numbers on its own pricing page.
Who should pick Synchroteam
Pick Synchroteam if you want one platform for scheduling plus inventory, contracts, custom forms, a customer portal and invoicing, and your dispatchers are happy to book with a suggestion tool in front of them. Teams that work across many countries may also value what its homepage says about its international customer base. Its 14-day trial without a card makes it easy to test.
Who should look at CrewLink
Look at CrewLink when the problem is the day itself:
- Customers or office staff book times the tech can't reach, and the dispatcher repairs it every morning.
- Afternoon arrival windows keep getting wider because nobody trusts the drive.
- You want self-booking without opening up times that don't work.
- You share work with partner companies or 1099 contractors and want them to see open time only.
Before talking to any vendor, run the comparison questions in the best field service scheduling software guide. They work the same for Synchroteam, CrewLink and everyone else.
What to take away

- Synchroteam prices per user; CrewLink prices per company by jobs per month.
- If you need inventory, contracts, forms and a portal in one product, Synchroteam is the better fit.
